Math:
- Subtract 100 facts in 5 minutes
- Read/Create/Analyze tally charts, bar graphs, and pictographs
- Use standard and nonstandard units of measurement
- Measure objects using inches and centimeters
- Solve word problems using multiple strategies
- Stanford 10 Test Prep- review strategies, using scratch paper, bubbling answers, etc.
- Read and write variety of poems
- Identify rhyme, rhythm, alliterations, main idea in poetry
- Locate facts while reading
- Identify the author's purpose
Science:
- Learn about the desert, tundra, rainforest, forest, and ocean.
- Learn about why and how each animals survives in its environment (adaptations)
- Explain how plants and animals depend on one another
- Choose an animal of interest and write a research report on that animal using StoryKit
- Create a quadrama depicting 4 habitats and the plants and animals that live in them
